The Yatharth School Project
The Yatharth School Project is dedicated to enhancing the quality of education for children in the rural areas of Rajasthan, specifically in a village in the Mahwa district. Providing education from Nursery to Class 8, our focus lies in building a strong foundational knowledge that empowers children to seize future opportunities.
The school was established with the aim of enhancing the literacy rate in the region. Rajasthan, the state where the school is located, boasts a literacy rate of approximately 66%, which is approximately 10% lower than the national average. However, literacy rates vary across different regions and demographic groups within the state. Typically, urban areas exhibit higher literacy rates compared to rural areas, and disparities may also arise due to factors such as gender, socio-economic status, and educational access.
Established in 2023, the school has welcomed 207 students during the academic session of 2023-2024. Our team comprises 15 dedicated staff members, including 1 Headmaster, 9 teachers, 3 drivers and 1 caretaker. In addition, volunteers from E4C contribute significantly to the holistic development of the children. They offer support in various aspects such as exposure to diverse cultures, improving English proficiency, facilitating socio-emotional sessions, and promoting learning through playful activities and sports. Together, we create an environment where children can share experiences and moments, enriching each other's lives for years to come.
